District Health Boards who have implemented Whanau Tahi’s B4 School Checks have exceeded reported targets.

Health Minister Jonathan Coleman said the latest results show DHBs have made good progress on the new raising healthy kids target - up 23 per cent on the previous quarter.

Whānau Tahi strengthens with SimplHealth acquisition

Whānau Tahi Limited, the Waipareira Trust subsidiary with growing interests in IT, health and well-being, today announced the acquisition of SimplHealth, the well-known health IT specialist behind the technology powering New Zealand’s ePrescription Service.

The acquisition means the teams, products and services of SimplHealth will be merged with Whānau Tahi with immediate effect.

Whānau Tahi Make New Zealand IT History

Whānau Tahi is a finalist in the 2016 Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards, short-listed in a field of global multi-national Microsoft partners in the Health category. This is believed to be the first time a New Zealand organisation has gained nomination as a finalist in this category. Microsoft said this was recognition of “excellence in innovation” and implementation of customer solutions based on Microsoft technology.
