He Honore, He Kororia – Showcasing Aotearoa at #DHF25

Day one at the Digital Health Festival 2025 was packed with purpose, connection, and kaupapa. Representing Aotearoa at the New Zealand Pavilion, the Whānau Tahi team connected with global leaders, shared our kaupapa Māori approach to digital health, and showcased how innovation grounded in tikanga can make a real difference for communities.

From engaging kōrero on equity and innovation to reconnecting with friends — both old and new — it was a powerful reminder of how far Aotearoa’s health tech sector has come, and where we’re headed next.

Our Head of Sales & Business Development, Ryan Sione, captured the essence of the day:

“An amazing Day 1 @ #DHF25. Connecting with some old friends and meeting many new ones. The opportunity to showcase amazing NZ health tech to such a large audience was a chance not to be missed.
We had the pleasure of talking with Minister Matt Doocey about our mahi working closely with Hauora Providers and Te Whatu Ora across Mental Health in Aotearoa.
The day was capped off by an awesome Kapa Haka display which was enjoyed by all.”

We were especially glad to catch up with Lee Timutimu, a leader in Indigenous Technology in Aotearoa, and to connect with Al Duncan from Webtools, one of Aotearoa’s standout health tech companies. These moments of whakawhanaungatanga remind us that collaboration is our superpower.

Ngā mihi to our NZTE whānau for hosting us at the NZ Pavilion and creating the space for these meaningful connections.

And yes — Whittaker’s chocolate was present and accounted for. 🍫✅ Proof that when you bring good people and good kaupapa together, you also bring good snacks.

We’ll be sharing more highlights and reflections from #DHF25 over the coming days. Watch this space.
